MAGIC IN THE LIGHT PARK
Following the success of the first edition, the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are opening their gates for the second time during the winter months for a magical attraction—the LUMAGICA Light Park.
From November 20, 2025, to January 6, 2026, guests will be taken on an incomparable journey through the fascinating world of lights in the botanical garden.
The light park is more than just a light installation—it is a tribute to the beauty of nature and the diversity of life. The light artists at LUMAGICA explore the unique characteristics of each location, which is why every light park remains distinctive.

OFF TO MERANO 2000
By bus and train
Take the train or bus to Bolzano and then continue by train to Merano. From there, take bus line 231 to Schenna and Verdins, or line 225 to Hafling, and then line 204 to Vöran.
By plane
Bolzano Airport is served by regular flights from various European cities. From there, the easiest way to reach your accommodation is by shuttle bus.
Onward to Merano 2000
In just a few minutes' drive, you can reach the Merano 2000 skiing and hiking area, which is accessible via two lifts: the mountain railway near Merano (close to Scena) and the Falzeben cable car near Avelengo. From Scena and Avelengo, you can reach the valley stations with free ski bus connections.
