THE RACE RULES
NO HELMET - NO START!
In Italy, wearing a helmet has been compulsory for everyone skiing and sledging since 1 November 2025.
Without a helmet, you are not allowed to start in a sledge race.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Skiers, snowboarders and telemark skiers.
Beginners and experts.
Anyone who loves Merano 2000
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The front skier attaches one end of the rope to their body, which runs loosely through a carabiner on the middle skier. The rear skier controls the remaining length of rope with their hands.
The weakest skier should take the front position to set the speed, while the most experienced skier should ski at the rear.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
A good mood
A rope: minimum length 15 m, maximum length 25 m, minimum diameter of nylon rope 10 mm
Carabiner and harness for the skier in the middle of the rope team
! It's going to be nostalgic and unusual – your ski outfit could be too...
